Job Description:
Our 2026 Co-Op program is an excellent opportunity for rising 2026 graduates to gain deep, hands-on experience in a mission-driven and innovative engineering environment. This paid, full-time program spans multiple months during the academic year, offering extended immersion in real-world hardware development and testing.

The co-op will directly contribute to hardware development that reaches customers and is deployed in the field. Their primary focus will be designing and executing a test plan to characterize and integrate RF sensor systems under the guidance of a senior engineer. Depending on interests and project needs, the intern may also explore areas such as antenna design, radio/GPS testing, signal integrity, or analog filter design.

The ideal start date is January 2026, and the end date is flexible.

What you'll do:

    • Design an RF sensor system evaluation and test plan to characterize RF performance.
    • Participate in RF system debug, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis; assist in part selection and design contributions.
    • Project Deliverables:
    • A complete RF system characterization plan document capturing test methodology, findings, and recommendations.
    • A final test report demonstrating characterization of the RF sensor system on V-BAT.
    • How This Supports the Intern’s Career Path:
    • Offers exposure to real-world engineering design challenges and constraints.
    • Builds confidence in applying classroom knowledge to practical RF/electrical engineering problems with mentorship.

Required qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other standard electrical lab equipment.
    • Strong math and analytical background.
    • Detail-oriented approach to testing and documentation.
    • Programming/scripting with Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation.
    • Prior exposure to RF circuits (filters, antennas, impedance matching).
    • Must be a rising senior, rising master’s or PhD graduate, preparing to graduate Spring 2026
    • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
    • Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals.
    • A demonstrated history of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
    • Have a passion for solving tough problems on a fast-paced team.
