Position Summary:
As a Resource Manager at BPM, you will lead a team of Resource Management Specialists across both Tax and Advisory service lines. This strategic role is responsible for optimizing workforce deployment, balancing capacity with demand, and ensuring the right people are assigned to the right engagements at the right time. You will collaborate closely with practice group leaders, HR, and Learning & Development to drive operational excellence and support firm growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Resource Management Specialists across Tax and Advisory.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations.

Strategic Resource Planning:
Partner with practice group leaders to forecast staffing needs based on pipeline and business priorities.
Develop and maintain workforce plans that align with seasonal cycles and strategic initiatives.
Monitor utilization, availability, and productivity metrics to inform staffing decisions.

Operational Execution:
Oversee daily scheduling and deployment of professionals to client engagements.
Resolve conflicts in resource allocation and escalate issues as needed.
Ensure compliance with firm policies, licensing requirements, and engagement needs.

Data & Reporting:
Analyze resource data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on utilization, capacity, and staffing effectiveness.
Leverage technology and tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as a key liaison between Operations, HR, Talent Development, and practice group leadership.
Support onboarding and integration of new hires into the resourcing process and technology.
Collaborate on initiatives related to career development and mobility.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
3-5 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or operations within professional services.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, facilitation, project management, and change management skills. 
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in resource management tools (e.g., Retain, XCM/Workflow a plus)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
