We’re looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end accounting processes, tax reporting support, and month-end closings. You’ll work closely with both finance and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting activities related to the Polish and American entities.
- Record and reconcile cash accounts on a daily basis.
- Record, track and pay vendors through accounts payable.
- Record sales and purchase transactions in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist with receivables and receivable collections.
- Support the preparation of VAT and CIT tax declarations.
- Take part in month-end and year-end closing activities (account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments).
- Ensure accuracy of accounting entries following local regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team and other departments to maintain data integrity.
- Support external/internal audit processes.
- Support in preparing reports for NBP and GUS
- Assistance with the fixed assets register.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
- Experience in any accounting system (NetSuite, Optima, SAP etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills and solid command of other MS Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including revenue recognition standards.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- English and Polish proficiency at a B2 level or higher (written and spoken).
Nice to haves:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with the Polish accounting activities
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience in preparing VAT returns
