As a Tax Intern, you will play a vital role as a valued member of a team of dedicated Tax experts. You will have the valuable opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of industries, allowing you to explore industries including Blockchain, Financial Services, Real Estate, Nonprofit, and many others. We offer over 10 industry groups to cater to your specific interests as you progress your career in Public Accounting.
Follow your interests, lean into your strengths, ask questions, and grow your knowledge of Tax, all with the unwavering support of a personal Coach and Buddy who will be there to empower you every step of the way.
What we're looking for:
- An interest in beginning a career in public accounting
- An interest in International Tax
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program) and graduating between 2025 - 2027
- Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work in a team environment
- A positive attitude mixed with an innate desire to learn
- Basic knowledge in research and technical writing process

You can expect to:
- Participate in a week-long training with members of our Tax and Learning & Development team
- Analyze data and prepare work papers and tax returns based on professional standards for a variety of entities and individuals with focus on international issues
- Identify, research, and assess various international tax issues
- Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of tax laws and issues including IRS, Courts, and other regulatory bodies
- Socialize with other Tax interns and staff both virtually and in-person (where possible)
- Present at the end of your internship about your experience and learnings
- Be assigned a "buddy" who will visit with you every week, answer your questions and help you with the various aspects of our process
- Champion sustainable workplace practices by supporting remote-first operations, promoting paperless workflows through digital collaboration tools, participating in recycling initiatives to minimize paper use, and consistently demonstrate alignment with BPM’s values.
- Expected Schedule:
- January: 20 hours/week
- February- April: 30 hours/week
$28 - $28 an hour
Hourly rate for this role will be $. This is the hourly rate for all BPM LLP Interns United States-wide and is non-negotiable.
