Our paralegals are vital members of Zirtual. The paralegal is the main point of contact with their assigned client(s) and will work independently with the law firms. The paralegal will receive support from their assigned Account Supervisor, who will assist the paralegal & law firm relationship with plan modifications, questions, feedback on quality, delegation and collaboration best practices, and more. The paralegal will provide a high-level professional service by working on tasks and projects as assigned by the client, and ensuring they are executed on time and to the highest level of quality. The paralegal is responsible for being the main point of contact for their assigned client(s), and being familiar with each clientsâ needs and preferences. The paralegal must have consistent and proactive communication with clients and the Account Supervisors. Paralegals are expected to be available for clients during business hours as agreed upon with each client, but around-the-clock availability is not expected. Paralegals ensure time is entered on a daily basis using a provided tool, respond to all communication within a mutually established response time expectation tailored to each clientâs needs, maintain detailed and up-to-date client profiles, and follow Zirtual's best practices for success. Position Summary POSITION SUMMARY Part-time, 20 hours per month The Trust Funding Paralegal supports the estate planning team by managing all aspects of trust funding from start to finish. This role gathers and organizes client asset information, prepares key funding documents, and works directly with financial institutions, title companies, and county recorders to ensure assets are properly transferred into trusts. The paralegal uses platforms such as Decision Vault or Legacy Vault and TruState to track asset data, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records. Strong attention to detail, clear client communication, and consistent follow-through are essential to success in this position. Responsibilities Gather and organize client asset information. Prepare asset inventories and verify ownership details. Draft trust funding documents (deeds, assignments, transfer forms, beneficiary changes). Utilize Decision Vault or Legacy Vault , TruState , and other firm systems to manage asset data and track funding progress. Coordinate with financial institutions, title companies, and county recorders. Track all asset transfers and maintain accurate status reports. Review and confirm completed retitling and recorded documents. Communicate regularly with clients to collect needed information and provide updates. Maintain thorough documentation in the firmâs case management system. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in trust funding, estate planning, or a related paralegal role. Prior remote work experience with proven ability to manage tasks independently. Reliable home internet and a professional remote workspace. Experience using Decision Vault or Legacy Vault, and TruState for asset tracking and trust funding workflows. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and consistent follow-through.
