Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- Successful completion of electrical entrance exam
- 3–5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of shop mathematics, technical drawings, and precision measuring tools
Intermediate knowledge of:
- AC/DC motor theory & troubleshooting with PLCs
- Drives, electrical controls, and NFPA 70E
- High-voltage power systems (≤ 480V)
- Electrical schematics and motor theory
- Proficient with common electrical maintenance tools
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic systems and controls.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating within specifications.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems.
- Maintain shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes.
- Service electrical components of pumps, motors, cranes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Install and maintain electronically controlled equipment, including loop controls, distribution centers, programmable sequences, and control panels.
- Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment such as digital voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing tools.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints at an intermediate level.
- Provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
