We seek a qualified and competitive technologist to join our team. An xMatters Enterprise Sales Engineer translates xMatters’ technology into business solutions with measurable benefits. This role will work with our field sales to engage directly with clients and prospects to frame our solution within our Digital Operations pillar, and specifically aligned with DevOps, ITOps, RunOps, DevSecOps and traditional Major Incident Management/ITSM. 
 
 We focus on key use cases that are impactful to the above “Ops” teams, SREs, and incident managers who focus on business impacting issues. 

What You'll Do:

    •  Assist sales with discovery with clients to understand technical and process challenges in order to establish current state, next steps in maturing processes and future vision. 
    • Collaborate on building and delivering compelling solution demonstrations based on client requirements and best practices.  
    • Collaborate with sales to build and deliver business justifications to senior executives, IT Managers and client procurement. 
    • Leverage your knowledge of delivering applications using an automated CI/CD process to frame value-based discussions.  
    • Utilize your ability to articulate a technology vision aligned with Digital Transformation, DevOps, DevSecOps, and IT Operations to highlight our measurable business value.  
    • Deliver well scoped and managed proof of concepts that integrate across multiple tools to drive automated incident response.  

What You'll Bring:

    • 3+ Year(s) of Experience in SaaS solution presales with additional experience in development, devops, consulting and customer success management 
    • Passionate about technical solutions and working with customers  
    • Experience with Cloud Native and Hybrid solutions  
    • Experience with Javascript, or a working knowledge of common development languages to enable basic scripting  
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or similar certification/knowledge in a closely related field 
    • Experience or exposure to DevOps teams, tools, and culture  
    • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)  
    • Configuration Management  
    • Monitoring/management solutions  
    • ITSM (helpdesk) solutions  
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal  
    • Demonstrated history as a public technical or company advocate through roundtable discussions, webinars, blogs or other articles  
    • Strong ability to engage with clients and build relationships  
    • Team player, with strong self-starter attitude  
    • Ability to handle objections and educate prospects in a consultative manner  
    • Travel up to 30% 
The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $139,000 - $156,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
