Description At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Rosemead, CA ! About the Role: As a Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Rosemead, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Rosemead, CA Schedule: 4 sessions for 1.5 hours Hourly rate between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Degree or coursework in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field preferred. Experience working with early elementary students, particularly those with developmental or learning differences. Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and math instruction strategies for early learners. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs and learning styles. Strong communication and organizational skills. Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping students thrive. Preferred: Experience using tools like Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or other structured literacy programs. Familiarity with behavior supports and strategies for maintaining engagement. Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions focused on building foundational literacy skills, with an emphasis on reading fluency, comprehension, and writing development. Implement engaging, interactive strategies to support a student who is resistant to reading activities. Provide targeted support in foundational math concepts, ensuring lessons are accessible and paced appropriately. Conduct an initial assessment to tailor instruction to the student’s academic level and learning style. Incorporate frequent movement breaks and multisensory activities to help maintain focus and energy.
