The Director, FP&A leads budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and modeling activities to support strategic decision-making. The role collaborates cross-functionally to deliver insights, drive process improvements, and present findings to senior leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and operating plan development; build and maintain financial models for profitability, cash flow, backlog, and working capital.
  • Own monthly close-to-forecast process, analyze actuals vs. plan, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions. Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses for bids and strategic initiatives; develop models to guide long-term planning.
  • Act as finance business partner to C-Suite and senior leadership; present insights and recommendations to executives and the Board of Directors.
  • Evaluate and improve processes, implement business intelligence dashboards, and drive efficiencies across operations.
  • Partner with project control teams to consolidate revenue and cost data; support leadership with ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Translate complex financial matters into clear presentations for diverse audiences; prepare monthly updates for management.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Security Clearance -Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, ERP systems, budgeting systems and BI required.
  • Ability to distill complex findings and concepts into key data-points and visualizations.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant analytical experience.
  • Government contracting experience and working familiarity with government accounting and reporting systems strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing/product based experience preferred.
  • PowerBI experience highly preferred

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only. 

Salary Range

$202,000 - $253,000 USD
