Description At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Pacifica, CA ! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Pacifica, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Pacifica, CA Schedule: 10 hours a month; 1 session a week for 1 hours Pay rate is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experience working with students with special needs , ideally those with Prader-Willi Syndrome or developmental delays. Strong understanding of early literacy and math instruction for young learners. Ability to create engaging, flexible, and multisensory lessons . Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families. Education or background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields preferred. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction in early literacy, writing, and foundational math skills. Support IEP-aligned goals related to kindergarten readiness, vocabulary, and sight word acquisition . Use interactive, hands-on, and visual teaching strategies to maintain engagement. Deliver instruction that is animated, encouraging, and fun , helping sustain attention and motivation. Offer frequent positive reinforcement and praise to build confidence and persistence. Incorporate the student’s interests—such as insects, spiders, lava, and roller coasters —into lessons to make learning meaningful. Adapt pacing and structure to meet the student’s emotional and cognitive needs. (Optional) Conduct an initial assessment to tailor instruction and track growth. Why Tutor Me Education?
