Ready to make a significant impact at a fast-growing, category-leading AI SaaS company? We are seeking a highly strategic, results-oriented, and experienced Director of Corporate Communications to lead our corporate communication efforts. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping our company narrative, promoting AI leadership and value, and driving impactful engagement across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the AI and/or B2B SaaS landscape, with a particular focus on industrial applications such as manufacturing, pharma, and oil & gas, and a proven track record of translating complex technical concepts into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences, including media, customers, partners, investors, and employees. This role requires a leader who can navigate the unique opportunities, challenges, and ethical considerations inherent in the AI domain while driving sustained brand visibility and trust in the competitive AI market.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a results-driven communications and analyst relations (AR) strategy that not only supports go-to-market initiatives but also directly informs and aligns with core business objectives and long-term company vision. Identify key themes, topics and channels to drive key KPIs.
- Resource and Agency Management - create a strategy for loan balancing between internal and external resources, select and onboard the right agencies to holistically support goals, manage the budget, and oversee the day-to-day relationship. The leader provides clear direction, feedback, and accountability to the agency team.
- Refine and amplify Cognite’s corporate narrative, ensuring it clearly articulates customer value and competitive differentiation, and strategically positions the company within the evolving AI landscape.
- Write compelling corporate and executive content, manage cross-functional and external reviews, ensure the messaging is sharp and impactful, and collaborate internally and externally to distribute it to the target audience across multiple channels.
- Architect and oversee all external corporate messaging and brand campaigns, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence across all channels.
- Serve as a primary voice for the company, actively engaging with external audiences, industry influencers, and key stakeholders to advance our strategic objectives.
- Translate complex AI and technical concepts into compelling, accessible stories that resonate with diverse audiences, ultimately shaping public perception and market understanding.
- Analyst relations - build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry analysts to secure favorable mentions in reports and provide valuable insights that shape the company's long-term strategy. Create, execute and track a plan for a regular cadence of briefings with prioritized analysts. Coordinate participation and create content for key analyst research to position Cognite favorably in market maps.
- Identify and train approved Cognite spokespeople.
- Proactively identify and manage potential corporate reputational risks, developing robust crisis communication strategies that protect and enhance brand trust.
- Metrics and insights - report on monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs, provide insights and optimizations for future engagements or external reports.
We believe most of these should match your experience
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, analyst relations, and integrated marketing—ideally in AI, high-growth SaaS or category-defining environments.
- Deep understanding of how to bring technical innovation to life through accessible, strategic storytelling, directly contributing to market leadership.
- Proven experience leading and evolving comprehensive press, content, social, and design functions toward a unified, high-impact brand goal that supports strategic business growth.
- Exceptional writing, editorial, and creative instincts with a demonstrable track record of architecting and executing high-impact campaigns that drive measurable results.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership, not just by shaping brand and communication strategy in alignment with company vision, but by actively influencing cross-functional adoption of messaging and contributing to core business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and leverage existing relationships with key journalists, editors, and industry analysts across B2B SaaS, industrial tech, manufacturing, pharma, and oil & gas publications, to secure impactful thought leadership opportunities and media coverage.
