Luna is reimagining outpatient physical therapy by bringing care directly into the home. None of it is possible without fast, accurate, and compliant therapist credentialing!

We’re looking for a Therapist Credentialing & Activation Associate to guide therapists through the credentialing, enrollment, and activation process with professionalism, clarity, and empathy. In this role, you will be the therapist’s primary point of contact as they navigate state-specific requirements, payer enrollments, documentation needs, and platform setup. You’ll ensure therapists feel supported and informed while maintaining strict compliance with payer, state, and regulatory standards.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in detail heavy workflows, loves solving administrative puzzles, and has a passion for ensuring clinicians are set up to deliver exceptional care.

How you will have an impact

    • Serve as the main partner for therapists throughout the credentialing and activation journey.
    • Guide therapists through each credentialing and enrollment step, explaining region- and state-specific requirements clearly.
    • Act as the primary contact from agreement signing through activation, ensuring therapists understand timelines, next steps, and compliance requirements.
    • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to payer/state regulations.
    • Leverage credentialing platforms, the Luna therapist app, and internal systems to track progress and keep workflows moving efficiently.
    • Coordinate with Credentialing, Therapist Acquisition, Therapist Success, and Operations to remove blockers and accelerate therapist readiness.
    • Maintain precise, audit-ready records that meet internal policy and regulatory standards.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline credentialing workflows and enhance speed-to-activation.
    • Support junior associates by sharing expertise, troubleshooting escalations, and modeling high quality service.
    • Follows established credentialing procedures but exercises judgment when exceptions or escalations arise.
    • Handles semi-routine work that occasionally requires deviation from standard practice.
    • Demonstrates ownership, follow-through, and the ability to maintain accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.

What you will bring

    • 3+ years in a customer-facing role, ideally in healthcare credentialing, enrollment, onboarding, or customer success.
    • Two-year college degree or equivalent professional certifications, technical training, or apprenticeship experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of healthcare credentialing processes, payer enrollment, and state-specific requirements (allied health therapy experience is a plus).
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage complex, multi-step compliance workflows.
    • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
    • High proficiency with technology platforms; able to learn new systems quickly.
    • Customer oriented communication skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to managing volume, anticipating issues, and improving processes.

What Luna can offer you

    • Remote-first environment: Work from anywhere, supported by a collaborative team where your ideas and expertise truly matter.

    • Wellness support: Enjoy health and wellness perks, discounted gym memberships, and quarterly wellness challenges.
    • Financial benefits: 401(k) with a company match after 6 months of employment.
    • Insurance protection: Company-paid life insurance, with access to additional voluntary benefits such as short-term disability and pet insurance.
