About the Role We’re looking for a Credit Analyst to support and strengthen PrePass’ risk management, surety administration, and credit coverage processes for tolling customers. This role evaluates customer risk, manages coverage requirements using tools such as Allianz, and ensures our surety programs, including bonds, credit insurance, and letters of credit, to provide the proper protection for the company. This position will collaborate closely with Customer Financial Services, Sales, Customer Success, and internal operations teams to ensure accurate reviews, timely processing, and strong coverage decisions. This position plays a critical role in reducing operational risk, resolving historical discrepancies, and supporting PrePass as account volume and surety complexity continue to grow. This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix including two days in office per week reporting to the CFS Operations Manager. Essential Responsibilities CREDIT & RISK EVALUATION Review customer creditworthiness using credit insurance systems such as Allianz, or other similar systems, and establish guidelines to determine appropriate coverage. Identify when surety, customer-provided bonds, letters of credit, or credit insurance are required to mitigate exposure. Monitor customer usage trends and accounting behavior to assess when coverage should be increased or recalibrated. Conduct new account pre-qualification assessments for credit insurance and coordinate with credit insurance provider on applications and decisions. SURETY PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION Support portfolio management of 1,000+ surety-backed accounts, including bonds, credit insurance, and letters of credit. Manage day-to-day surety requests, including increases, decreases, cancellations, follow-ups, and documentation review. Evaluate and process bond renewals, bond submissions, and strategic accounts requiring extensive coordination. Maintain and update all surety-related records to ensure data integrity across platforms. Assist with claim processing for bonds, credit insurance, and letters of credit, collecting documentation, coordinating with agencies, and tracking residual balances. BACKLOG RESOLUTION & DATA INTEGRITY Assist with the remediation and organization of historical surety records to address legacy issues and outdated documentation. Rebuild missing or incomplete records for letter of credit accounts and credit insurance files. Correct legacy mis-tagged accounts to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Maintain and improve manual tracking processes while identifying opportunities to strengthen documentation controls. OPERATIONAL SUPPORT & COLLABORATION Respond to inquiries from Sales, Customer Success, and internal teams regarding surety and coverage requirements. Coordinate with Customer Success Managers and Sales on strategic accounts requiring tailored surety support. Support escalations and time-sensitive coverage is needed to ensure uninterrupted tolling access for customers. Assist in preparing the department for increased bond activity driven by bond companies and ongoing account growth. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2–4+ years of credit analysis, underwriting, or risk evaluation experience. Experience with Allianz or comparable credit review tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret credit data and recommend coverage. High attention to detail with the ability to manage large account volumes. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong organizational abilities and comfort working within manual tracking processes. Bonus Points For Experience working with bonds, credit insurance, or letters of credit. Background in transportation, tolling, or B2B service environments. Experience with data cleanup or remediation of legacy systems.
