Distribution Center Facilities Technician
 
 
Schedule: Monday - Friday : 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM
Pay Range: $17 - $20 Hourly - Based on experience

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, functioning work environment to allow our operations teams to focus on serving our customers. Essential Functions        
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, relays, and more
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all the operations facility
  • Track and store department inventory
  • Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 8 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
 
Work Environment
  • Works full time with varying shifts, primary schedule may be between 12:00 and 8:00 PM
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Must have ability to reach arms above head, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
    • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
    • Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work including walking 6 to 12 miles per day
    • Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
    • Regularly required to type on a computer or stand-up desk and for 1-2 hours per day
 
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
