Primary Responsibilities
- Installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical systems. Install electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment as part of the building infrastructure as well as its associated machinery and lighting systems.
- Maintenance. Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshooting. Diagnose and repair electrical issues. Ensureappropriate response to operational emergencies and other unforeseen circumstances.
- Compliance. Ensure that all electrical work complies with local (NYC) and national safety codes and regulations.
- Inspections. Conduct inspections of electrical equipment and its components. Maintain records and prepare reports
- Responding to emergency situations and environmental compliance emergencies
Skills and Qualifications
- Education. A high school diploma equivalent with completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical technology.
- Licensing. Master Electrician License NYC DOB
- Technical Skills. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams, as well as knowledge of electrical systems and safety protocols.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to effectively address electrical issues.
- Physical Fitness. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Experience and expertise. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in live Stage Theatre. Opera experience is desirable
