Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Pay: Up to $24/hr to start

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Laser Programmer to join our team in Louisa, VA. This role involves creating and optimizing CNC laser cutting programs for a Bismarck laser machine to ensure precise, efficient production.
Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize CNC laser cutting programs based on blueprints, CAD files, and production requirements.
- Analyze material types, thicknesses, and part geometry to determine proper cutting paths, tooling, and machine parameters.
- Develop nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate part interpretation and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot program-related issues on the shop floor and adjust cutting paths or parameters to improve quality and efficiency.
- Maintain an organized library of cutting programs, revision histories, and associated documentation.
- Support machine operators with program guidance, technical clarification, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience programming CNC laser machines, preferably Bismarck.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of material types and machining parameters for metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
