Description Our client, a thriving educational organization in South Florida experiencing significant expansion, is looking for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to direct centralized financial management across the institution. This exceptional role offers the chance to contribute to a purpose-driven organization during a critical phase of development. The successful candidate will deliver strategic fiscal guidance while taking a practical, involved approach, leading a finance department and ensuring sound financial stewardship throughout all operations. The successful candidate will combine technical financial acumen with strong relationship-building abilities to effectively connect finance with education, collaborating closely with school leadership and teaching staff who may lack formal financial training. Core Duties and Responsibilities Team Leadership & Operations Management Foster a collaborative, high-performing finance culture with both strategic vision and attention to operational detail Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals Oversee centralized finance office managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, grants accounting, and tuition collections Strategic Financial Leadership Support the institution's campus expansion and real estate portfolio management Develop annual budgets and multi-year financial forecasts to support institutional growth Provide comprehensive financial oversight for a multi-division educational institution with centralized finance operations Conduct cash flow analysis and maintain financial sustainability Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Executive Board Cross-Functional Partnership Help educators understand and operate effectively within their allocated budgets Partner with division leaders (early childhood, elementary, high school) to support their budget management Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization Translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders, particularly educators and academic administrators Systems & Process Improvement Navigate and strengthen systems during a period of finance team evolution Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across finance operations Champion the continued implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Requirements Required Experience and Skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and academic leadership Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior financial leader in a nonprofit school or educational institution Humility and collaborative mindsetâable to listen, adapt, and work within an established institutional culture and leadership structure Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance professionals Demonstrated leadership capability with willingness to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels Strong technical expertise in: ⢠Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, controller functions, grants/general ledger accounting, and tuition/collections operations ⢠Financial reporting and board-level presentations ⢠Budgeting and financial forecasting ⢠Cash flow analysis and management Benefits Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000+ annually Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Exceptional candidates with distinguished track records may be considered at higher compensation levels Benefits Package Includes: Comprehensive healthcare coverage 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and holidays Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
