Lead Salesforce as part of an Azure-based cloud ecosystem (not a standalone CRM), building resilient integrations, event-driven workflows, and high-quality delivery practices.

π Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 to 16.30 PST - 100% Remote
π οΈ What Youβll Be Doing
- Lead and coach a small team of Salesforce Developers and Administrators (2β5 direct reports), setting technical direction and raising engineering standards.
- Design and deliver Salesforce solutions that integrate deeply with an Azure cloud platform (multi-product environment).
- Define and implement enterprise integration patterns: API gateway design, event-driven architecture, microservices, and real-time synchronization.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Platform Engineering to define scalable integration patterns between Salesforce and Azure services.
- Build and maintain API integrations across systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa, DocuSign) using REST/SOAP, OAuth2, and related standards.
- Ensure Salesforce best practices, security protocols, and operational resilience across releases and environments.
- Improve delivery through estimation support, clear implementation approaches, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and intelligent monitoring.
- Drive innovation: identify AI-supported opportunities in Salesforce solutions and across the product lifecycle.
β What You Need to Succeed
Must-haves
- 7+ years of Salesforce technical experience, including integrations with external systems and cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred).
- 5+ years leading technical teams in cloud-native environments (Azure/AWS/GCP), with ownership of technical decisions for a pod/workstream/product area.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Apex, Lightning (Aura + LWC), Flows, and Visualforce.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management/gateway concepts, event-driven architecture, and microservices.
- Ability to make architectural trade-offs and clearly defend decisions to senior technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile/product operating models and collaborating cross-functionally (Product, UX/UI, QA, Engineers).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills; able to create strong feedback loops and predictable delivery.
Nice-to-haves
- Salesforce Architecture certifications (preferred).
- Experience with SFDX and modern Salesforce delivery workflows.
- Experience with API Management, iPaaS tools, and messaging/queues for event-driven designs.
- Azure Solution Architect certification (or equivalent).
- Experience designing AI-driven/AI-supported Salesforce solutions (e.g., Agentforce or similar capabilities).
