Description The Coax, Copper & Fiber Installation Technician is responsible for performing high-quality residential and commercial installations of fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper-based services. This role ensures customers receive reliable connectivity and a positive installation experience while maintaining compliance with safety and technical standards. Key Responsibilities Perform installation, activation, and testing of fiber, coax, and copper services for homes and businesses; Install and configure customer equipment such as ONTs, modems, routers, and set-top devices; Run and terminate coax, copper, and fiber lines, including in walls, attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor utility locations; Conduct signal testing, troubleshooting, and service verification to ensure proper connectivity and performance; Complete work orders, documentation, and equipment tracking accurately; Educate customers on service features, equipment usage, and basic troubleshooting; Follow all safety requirements, including working at heights and in confined spaces; Support outage response or maintenance activities when requested; Travel to assigned project areas as needed. Requirements Valid U.S. Driverâs License; Experience in residential and commercial telecom installations preferred; Basic understanding of HFC networks, signal levels, and equipment setup; Ability to run cable and perform terminations (coax, copper, fiber preferred); Strong communication and customer service skills; Ability to work in varied environments (weather, heights, lifting up to 75 lbs).
