Building responsive web applications using the principles of responsive design. Building highly scalable APIs in a distributed environment. Creating and maintaining database scripts and tables using a relational database Server. Maintaining referential, domain, and column integrity by using available options such as constraints. Analyzing and implementing the code to integrate various functional workflows of all the modules. Designing, evolving, and maintaining micro service-oriented architecture. Creating automated news and event feeds into the web portal and design the functionality and layout. Developing methodologies for automated datapoint extraction from filings and news sources, using standard techniques to identify and optimize retrieval processes. Building, scrubbing, and conducting Quality Checks in Dataset to ensure information is up to date and accurate. Developing unit test cases for the implemented requirements and all modules. Writing unit test cases for different application functions and SQL procedures. Monitoring application performance using various quality checks & monitoring tools. Collecting and documenting the feedback from end-users who are using the proposed system. Preparing the technical summary report document to improve the system by compiling end-user’s feedback. Documenting business requirements for enhancing application features. Identifying new advanced technologies of implementation to improve the system performance and creating performance test cases. Assessing market trends and educating clients about the complexities. Building predictive models using Python on historical datasets. Performing regular and bespoke data analysis and facilitating requests from the database as requested by internal stakeholders and external clients. Conceiving and implementing new analyses on a one-off basis and build them into live data sets and dashboards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field and five years of software development experience including one or more programming languages and with data structures/algorithms.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field and three years of software development experience including one or more programming languages and with data structures/algorithms.
- Three years of experience with full stack development across back-end such as Python, JavaScript/Typescript codebases; front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS; and using frameworks like Angular/React.
- Three years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- One year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Proficiency with SPAC structures/event-driven equity situations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze 10-Ks/10-Qs, Proxies, and 8-Ks.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis and problem-solving.
- Employer will sponsor FINRA Licenses: Series 7, 63 if not already licensed.
- Graduate business or math major preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with building financial models in Excel.
- Strong computer programming skills – such as VBA, Python, Tableau.
- Ability to manage expectations of Traders, Salespeople and outside Clients while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
