We’re looking for a visionary Director of University to lead our entire education and growth ecosystem — someone who combines operational mastery, a passion for entrepreneurship, and a proven track record of scaling membership-based education models. Role Overview The Director of University will oversee the strategy, operations, and growth of our virtual educational platform. They will be responsible for the overall member experience, curriculum evolution, revenue growth, and community engagement, ensuring our university remains the go-to destination for ambitious entrepreneurs. This leader will manage a high-performing cross-functional team, including the Performance Marketing Director, and will be accountable for subscriber growth, retention, and brand reputation. Requirements Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the long-term vision for the university’s growth, impact, and profitability. Align educational, marketing, and operational strategies to maximize subscriber acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Drive data-informed decision-making across all initiatives. Program & Curriculum Oversight Lead the evolution of our course catalog, live events, and learning resources to remain industry-leading and hyper-relevant. Establish quality benchmarks for all educational content and ensure a consistent, premium learning experience. Partner with industry experts, thought leaders, and internal faculty to expand offerings. Subscription Growth & Retention Oversee the full membership lifecycle — from acquisition funnels to onboarding, engagement, and renewal. Direct the Performance Marketing Director and collaborate with marketing teams to optimize paid media, organic growth, and referral programs. Implement member success strategies that reduce churn and boost NPS. Operational Excellence Build systems, processes, and KPIs that ensure scalable growth while maintaining quality. Oversee budget allocation, forecasting, and performance tracking. Ensure compliance with data privacy, consumer protection, and educational standards. Community & Brand Building Foster a thriving member community through online forums, networking events, and peer collaboration. Represent the university as a thought leader at key industry events and within the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Cultivate brand trust and loyalty through authentic engagement and exceptional service. Qualifications Must-Have Experience 10+ years in leadership roles within subscription-based education, membership platforms, or online learning businesses. Proven track record of scaling a subscription-based education or training program from mid to large size membership bases. Demonstrated success in driving both acquisition and retention at scale. Deep understanding of marketing funnels, digital education, and community engagement. Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and operations. Preferred MBA or advanced degree in business, education, or a related field. Experience working with entrepreneurs, founders, or small business audiences. Strong network of industry experts and potential collaborators.
