What You’ll Do

Become a driving force in educational research as a Lead Research Associate at Edmentum! You’ll independently manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and innovate processes that elevate our research impact. Your leadership and expertise will help shape strategies and deliver transformative results for students and educators.

In this role you will:

  • Define, refine, and own the full data acquisition lifecycle across multiple research teams.
  • Proactively coordinate external data acquisition and special studies, identifying new opportunities and maintaining robust tracking systems.
  • Develop and implement new processes to enhance data analysis efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and guide junior research staff, reviewing analysis plans, code, and project deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues, collaborating with data teams to ensure integrity.
  • Lead cross-functional collaborations to achieve ambitious project goals.
  • Represent the research team at conferences, presenting findings and contributing to team learning.

Who You Are:

  • You have a master’s degree in educational psychology, research methods, data science, or a related quantitative field plus 3+ years of relevant experience, including ideally experience working with school districts; or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of equivalent experience.
  • You are proficient in R, Python, or other statistical software, with experience in version control and managing large data files.
  • You have advanced knowledge of statistics and research methods.
  • You are experienced in designing research studies and analysis plans.
  • You have demonstrated success in managing study participants.
  • You have experience with AI tools (e.g., GPT, Claude) and an awareness of their applications in research.
  • You have a track record of mentoring and guiding others in research best practices.
  • You are collaborative, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • You communicate clearly and influence team culture through inclusion and trust.
  • You are detail-oriented, passionate about accuracy, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • You are familiar with educational technology and current trends.
  • You are comfortable working independently and providing guidance to others.
  • You are innovative and seek opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
  • You are willing to take on evolving responsibilities based on business needs

At Edmentum, we are committed to pay transparency. The salary range provided reflects market research, the responsibilities of the role, and alignment with our compensation principles. Actual compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill sets. All compensation decisions are individualized and based on the specific circumstances of each candidate.
