About the Opportunity
We are a rapidly growing cybersecurity startup revolutionizing the Identity and Security landscape. We are seeking an exceptional and dynamic Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our core team.
This critical, high-impact role requires a blend of deep technical expertise and strong consultative skills. You will serve as the trusted technical advisor to prospects, customers, and partners, owning the end-to-end technical sales cycle. Your ability to translate complex security challenges into tangible solutions, differentiate our platform competitively, and establish technical best practices will directly contribute to our aggressive growth goals.
Key Responsibilities (You Will)
Technical Expertise & Validation
- Lead Complex Engagements: Drive and own all technical validation activities, including advanced workshops, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and demonstrations for stakeholders ranging from technical architects and security engineers to CISOs.
- Problem Solve: Apply strong, systematic problem-solving skills to analyze complex, multivariate technical issues and provide rapid resolution, often under high-pressure scenarios.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer by gathering and synthesizing product feedback, feature requests, and market needs, serving as a critical liaison to the Product and Engineering teams.
Sales Partnership & Strategy
- Collaborate: Partner closely with the Sales team to deeply understand prospect business drivers and technical requirements, developing compelling, tailored solutions that deliver clear business value.
- Support Documentation: Prepare and deliver technical proposals, architectural diagrams, and compelling responses to RFPs/RFIs.
- Competitive Differentiation: Proactively monitor the industry and competitive landscape to develop and articulate clear, effective competitive differentiators for our platform.
Enablement & Growth
- Thought Leadership: Engage with customers and prospects to present future product roadmap developments, ensuring alignment with their strategic security needs.
- Scale the Team: Develop and deliver technical training, best practice guidelines, and documentation to rapidly enable and scale internal sales and partner teams.
What You Bring (You Have)
Experience & Background
- Minimum 5+ years in a technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or field engineering role, specifically within the Cybersecurity, Identity, or Access Management space.
- Proven track record of successfully closing complex, high-value technical sales cycles and designing robust enterprise-level solutions.
- Deep foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, modern identity architectures (e.g., Zero Trust, AuthN/AuthZ), and current threat landscapes.
Technical & Platform Skills
- Hands-on expertise with modern security and identity technologies and platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and a solid understanding of cloud security models is highly desirable.
- Experience with Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) and proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Go) for automation and PoC development.
Communication & Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and executive (C-level) stakeholders.
- A strong team player with the ability to influence cross-functionally and drive results without direct authority.

The compensation for this role depends on several factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates offered a position at the posted job level, the provided range is the expected base salary. This does not include any additional variable compensation, such as commission.
Compensation Disclosure
$150,000 - $265,000 USD

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
