Your Job:
The Brooks Project & Process Management Team acts as a center of excellence for project, process, system and tool management in support of all teams within Footwear & Sourcing. This team spans multiple teams, time zones, skill sets and disciplines and provides the knowledge and resources necessary to help Footwear & Sourcing teams assess, optimize and standardize their processes – allowing them to focus on their roles and expertise – doing what they do best. Our global team seeks a skilled Project Manager to identify, scope and lead multiple end-to-end projects within Footwear & Sourcing while also helping further develop the team as a center of excellence for project and process management.
The Project and Process Manager, Asia has a formal foundation in project and process management, managing calendars and adherence to requirements and timelines and partner with more senior Project & Process Managers on more complex projects, workstreams, programs. This role also requires the ability to learn, implement and manage tools and systems required within Footwear & Sourcing. The ideal candidate for this role has strong project management experience, is a quick learner, excels at communication and can comprehend technical information and assisting in developing creative ways to deliver information to relevant stakeholders. In this role, you will lead multiple end-to-end projects and will be responsible for scope, time, resourcing and the overall success of each project. This role works with key subject matter experts and functional leaders, across teams, to create and facilitate delivery of projects and initiatives.
In addition to taking on responsibilities as a Project Manager, this role will have the opportunity to support and ultimately own Footwear & Sourcing programs and initiatives related to process improvement, organizational change management and systems & tools.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work cross functionally, within Footwear & Sourcing, to identify opportunities for project management, process improvement, organizational change management and system & tools improvements.
- Collaborate with Footwear & Sourcing leadership to develop scope for projects, present solution proposals and provide end-to-end project leadership delivery.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring timely follow-ups and clear documentation of action items.
- Facilitate multiple initiatives simultaneously across Footwear & Sourcing departments as the project or process manager
- Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements; assemble and lead the project team.
- Develop full-scale project plans, risk assessments, change control and project status.
- Report, manage and mitigate project issues, risks and escalations, and ensure project delivery and overall success.
- Maintain project and program management tools, templates and databases to ensure accurate tracking of deliverables.
- Gather requirements, design, develop and implement tools for standardizing project and process management within the Footwear & Sourcing team.
- Understand and implement process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness within department-led initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of internal and external best practices related to project and process management.
- Commit to training and development opportunities to build expertise in project, program, and process management.
- Collaborate with more senior Project & Process Manager to continuously build overall skillset
- Hold teams accountable for deliverables by positively influencing within Footwear & Sourcing.
- Develop an understanding of organizational change management fundamentals
- Occasional International travel may be required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years of related project and/ or program management experience, ideally in a product development or consulting environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading project teams
- Project Management certifications (PMP, etc.) desired
- Strong knowledge of project management standards (PMBOK)
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and working with leadership teams to ensure project goals are met
- Collaborative leadership skills
- Being self-driven, eager to learn and goal-oriented with strong time-management skills
- Exceptional work ethic; being adaptable to ever-changing demands, with the ability to refocus and develop options for quick changes in projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Experience in using analytical methods to improve processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Strong interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
- Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
- Ability to challenge the status quo – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details.
