This role manages team workload and priorities while actively executing key HR initiatives. With a strong focus on talent management, the Sr. HRBP provides expert guidance across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational development. The position includes supervisory responsibility for select HR staff and close collaboration with HR leadership and HR Operations to ensure a seamless, high-quality employee experience. Success in this role requires strategic agility, innovation, and the ability to balance big-picture thinking with practical execution. Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions: Serve as a strategic partner to department leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals. Ensure goals, initiatives and all project timelines and deadlines are met. Operational and people-management leader; translates strategy into programs. Talent Management including Talent Acquisition, performance reviews, development, Coaches managers and ensures compliance with people practices. Oversee performance management processes, evaluations and processes Assess and adopt emerging HR technologies. Use Data and AI technology to streamline processes, identify trends and create efficiencies. Lead onboarding and offboarding compliance and processes. Ensure total HR compliance by conducting regular audits and creation/maintenance of HR department compliance program. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Manage and execute leave management processes, procedures and compliance measures. Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conduct investigations, and support performance improvement plans. Supervise, develop and mentor assigned HR team members, fostering collaboration and development. Ensure cross training and delegation to ensure coverage and completion for all assigned functions. Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives. Collaborate with the HR leader to develop and implement HR policies, programs, and procedures. Lead and innovate the Talent Acquisition function by providing input on role design, selection, and retention strategies. Fill in on overflow recruitment as needed. Lead affirmative action and EEO reporting as the EEO officer to support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and federal contracting compliance. Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decisions and improve processes. Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel may be required for this position. Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time. Physical Demands: Mobility required on-site with clients. Sitting or standing for hours at a time. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed. Ability to manipulate up to 15 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed. Working Environment: Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings. All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire. If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes. Requirements Experience/Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field. Years of experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis, in addition to the minimum requirements. 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a business partner or HR leadership role. Demonstrated experience leading a small HR or talent team, with accountability for performance and outcomes. Proven success implementing and managing talent management programs (e.g., performance management, career development, succession planning, or employee engagement). Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple states. Experience supporting senior leaders with strategic workforce planning and organizational development initiatives. Experience/Education Preferred: Experience leading or supporting talent management and workforce analytics initiatives that leverage data and technology to drive outcomes. Familiarity with AI applications in HR (e.g., predictive analytics, generative AI tools, candidate screening, or learning personalization). 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HR leadership role. Implementation or optimization experience with HRIS or HCM systems 2+ years’ Experience working in a consulting, professional services, or project-based environment. Federal Contracting, EEO officer compliance and experience. Experience in change management, organizational design, or leadership development. Additional Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required.
