This role will provide the opportunity to perform high-quality QC reviews of lower-risk engagements (such as compilations) and audits in standardized, high-volume industries including affordable housing and employee benefit plans. By leveraging your U.S. GAAP and auditing expertise, you will help ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency while enabling Aprio’s US Based team to focus on higher-risk engagements.
This is a technical role with leadership potential. Over time, you will play a critical role in building and mentoring an offshore QC team driving training, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform QC reviews of lower-risk assurance engagements (compilations).
- Review audits in high-volume industries with standardized approaches, including affordable housing and employee benefit plans.
- Deliver clear, constructive, and actionable review comments to engagement teams.
- Partner with Aprio’s QC team, including industry leaders, to ensure alignment with professional standards.
- Participate in structured training provided by Aprio’s Professional Practice Group (PPG) through live virtual meetings, videos, and checklists.
- In the long term, recruit, train, and manage a QC team in the Philippines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new team members to accelerate their contributions.
- Foster a collaborative culture that values accuracy, efficiency, and innovation.
- Support Aprio’s mission of maintaining best-in-class quality control processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance review methodologies, tools, and procedures.

Qualifications
- Preferably 10 years of experience preparing and reviewing U.S. GAAP financial statements.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Prior experience executing U.S. GAAP audits; affordable housing and employee benefit plan audit experience strongly preferred.
- CPA designation or equivalent international credential strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to provide effective review feedback and resolve technical issues.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a collaborative mindset.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
