About the Role: Atria is seeking a Lab Processor for our in-office laboratory on Palm Beach Island. This position will work directly with clinical staff collecting samples to process and test in-office orders of waived and moderate complexity assays, interact with partner labs for send-out of high complexity testing, and maintain the laboratory with a focus on compliance and quality. The position is on-site during business hours on weekdays with occasional need for additional coverage due to clinical and business needs. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a clinical laboratory environment with experience in Hematology and Chemistry required. Experience with waived and moderate laboratory operations is desired. The ideal candidate has experience with phlebotomy and patient facing care as well as experience in laboratory processes such as accessioning, specimen processing, and quality troubleshooting. Laboratory Receives, inspects, processes, transfers, and packs patient samples for laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality of sample submission. Partners with the Clinical teams to provide feedback on the quality of sample submissions and the timing of operations/logistics to ensure that the best testing is performed and to minimize errors. Completes registration, documentation, and tracking of samples using Atria and vendor applications and platforms. Prepares specimens for sendout to reference labs, including spinning, aliquoting, labeling, stabilizing, and packing specimens, including reporting on the quality of samples and providing feedback to clinical staff for the need for recollection. Interacts with and coordinates logistics of package pickup, tracking, and delivery for submissions to partner labs. Performs Point of Care testing using a variety of laboratory assays and platforms, including the transmission of results to the patient chart and the communication of critical values to the patient’s care team. Maintain the laboratory environment and the laboratory equipment in a clean, safe, and compliant state. Regulatory Perform accurate, legal and ethical documentation at all times. Ensures that submissions by clinical staff meet all regulatory requirements as well as Atria’s best practices and quality standards. Perform all activities to complete daily, weekly, and monthly logs to ensure continual compliance. Support and assist with quality initiatives. Operations Assists with the ordering of medical, phlebotomy, and laboratory supplies. Is responsible for the tracking of inventory items used in lab workflows including. Coordinates with multiple departments for the receipt, invoicing, storage, and restocking of supplies in the lab, exam rooms, and clinical spaces. Perform other position-related duties as assigned, including some administrative tasks as needed. Expected to be punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts. Use communication skills with appropriate medical terminology. Requirements Associates degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant field is preferred. A High School diploma or equivalent is required. 3+ years Laboratory experience in a combination of Point of Care and High Throughput environments. Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
