Share this job SVGs not supported by this browser. Description Northstrat is seeking an experienced and driven Mid-level Software (SW) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java software development. As part of a development team, you will use provided development environments and best practices to support, plan, and execute via the program’s SW development approach. Support for the design, development, testing, and performance analysis of the system. Key Responsibilities: Support the design, development, testing, performance analysis, and maintenance of robust, scalable, and high-performance applications running on a modern, resilient and tailorable system. Use provided development environments and best practices to support, plan, and execute via the program’s agile SW development approach Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features Leverage a sub-set of (but not limited to) the following technologies: Java, JavaScript, Git, SQL, Python, Server Side Development, Server Side Software, Middleware, Integration, API Development, Operating Systems, Core Application Systems, Data Integration, Application Integrations, Docker, Node.js, Groovy, Perl Programming, Scala, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, Spring-Boot, and Spring Data. Inform the development approach, architecture, and technology stack through iterative retrospectives Requirements Must have an active Top Secret US government clearance. Must have US citizenship Must have at least a HS diploma or GED or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience with 2+ years of experience in Java Must have at 1+ of experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot Experience with API development, including REST architectural style Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface Must have the ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date Ability to work full time on-site Preferred Qualifications Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions Experience with Agile software development practices and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Experienced liaison between multiple organizations Excellent communicator, especially with non-co-located teams DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP Apply for this job
