Senior Resident Engineer ( Hybrid 3 days)

The Armis Senior Resident Engineer is a platform subject matter expert embedded within our strategic customers as part of their technical team, focused on complete product adoption. The Armis Senior Resident Engineer accelerates our customer’s time to value by planning, deploying, and operationalizing the Armis solution. Senior Resident Engineers manage the platform daily, ensuring new features are adopted and integrated into the customer’s operational plans. They ensure product value is delivered by creating dashboards and policies, developing critical data reporting to fulfill use cases and security requirements, and continuously configuring the Armis platform for desired results. As the product expert, the Armis Senior Resident Engineer provides support, research and analysis into complex problems while working with the customer’s team to enhance cyber security programs and goals. This is a highly technical, hands-on role.

 

The Armis Senior Resident Engineer will be responsible for full platform management, including, but not limited, to the following activities: 

  • Understand the customer’s key use cases and security goals
  • Collaborate with the customer’s technical team to refine and translate complex requirements into expected deliverables for each stakeholder
  • Develop dashboards, dashlets, and reports that align with business requirements
  • Spearhead deployment and expansion of the customer’s Armis platform
  • Ensure operational uptime of the platform 
  • Perform deployment health checks
  • Understand how the customer is utilizing the Armis platform and recommend additional features that can be leveraged to improve their security posture
  • Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and network problems
  • Analyze logs and events from the solution and provide threat analysis reports, providing input and direction as applicable  
  • Build custom security policies and application signatures
  • Collaborate with the customer’s technical teams to develop and build out use case  playbooks
  • Maintain knowledge of 3rd Party solutions and integrations with the Armis platform within the assigned customer environments
  • Drive customer adoption
  • Collaborate with internal Armis resources to drive account success
  • Build trusted relationships with relevant, technical users and stakeholders 
  • Provide technical product training
  • Deliver metrics, monthly status reports, and support the Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Identify product expansion opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years as a Resident Engineer, Professional Services Engineer, Consultant, or IT/Operations Engineer
  • 8+ years designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, and debugging SaaS deployments
  • 8+ years in network engineering, architecture, or network design
  • 8+ years experience working in Security/IT
  • Applied knowledge of the networking industry, products, and protocols.
  • Track record of successful problem solving and delivering known solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt driven environment with limited or ambiguous direction
  • Proactive
  • Customer first attitude
  • Ability to travel as needed (exception: Centers of Excellence locations)

Technical Skills

  • B.S in IT, IS, CS, MIS, (or equivalent degree)
  • Expert understanding of API based security and compliance standards
  • Significant experience in Cyber Security (Endpoint, SOAR, SIEM)
  • Linux Operating System basic operation and troubleshooting (i.e. Redhat Linux /  CentOS)
  • Python, C, C++ expert
  • Expert at networking (LAN/WAN, Routing/Switching protocols, Network Security)
