OVERVIEW
Reporting to VP Sales, Head of B2B and Emerging, we are recruiting a senior people manager to lead a high-growth team of sellers supporting Morning Brew Inc’s B2B advertisers.   The B2B sales team is on fire, growing double-digits year-over-year, with perfect goal attainment; this is a compelling opportunity to directly manage a team of high-performing sellers under the B2B Sales org and take this team to the next level in 2026.

Working closely with the VP Sales and other cross-functional leaders, this leader will support sales and commercial efforts for the B2B sales team and provide oversight over their growing list of Emerging B2B advertisers. This book of business includes some of the world’s fastest growing tech companies, who work with Morning Brew Inc. to build and execute high-growth marketing and media campaigns across custom newsletter, social, onsite, events, content, and data products across 20+ owned and operated multimedia properties.

This leader will manage a number of existing team members with room to make additional hires in 2026, and will provide the team with direct coaching, training, enablement and support to help them grow personally and professionally. Though this candidate will not manage their own book of business, it is important for this candidate to have a strong pulse on the market and their clients’ needs, and to provide direct, hands-on support for their team early and often with a positive, proactive, high-agency mindset.

This is a full-cycle sales motion, requiring comfort navigating all parts of the customer journey from inbound/outbound lead generation to pitching, negotiation and closing, to managing retention, renewals, upsells and cross-sells. Experience navigating large, 5- and 6-figure deals - sometimes with complex procurement processes - with a proven playbook for driving successful outcomes throughout the sales cycle is a requirement. Experience doing so within the Marketing organization is a huge plus.

We are seeking a builder and natural leader with a strategic and proactive approach who will lead by example and take ownership of this exciting area for Morning Brew.  S/he must be entrepreneurial and have a commercial lens and be able to work well cross functionally including with the Account Management, Pricing, and Creative teams.  S/he will have the pulse of the market to direct the sales activities of the business optimally.

With a proven playbook of how to successfully lead and grow a sales team, s/he will evaluate and implement sales processes, manage team KPIs to hit sales targets and support building out an overall framework for success in partnership with VP Sales. 

QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-10+ years sales experience, including 1-2+ years of people management
- Equipped with best practices for scaling a sales team, developing effective sales strategies, originating, and managing a pipeline, and growing revenue.
- Metrics and data-driven with a modern approach to sales leadership and management
- Self-motivated, proactive, and ambitious with an entrepreneurial nature
- Superior communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent sales trainer with a passion for professional and personal development
- Strong cross functional relationship builder including with Account Management and Creative teams
- Deep experience in full-cycle sales, including inbound and outbound new business generation
- Experience managing a large product portfolio and equipped with tools and tactics for how to manage/sell across the product suite effectively 
- Experience closing large-scale, 6-figure deals and complex sales, including navigating procurement processes and land-and-expand customer motions 
- Expertise in digital marketing, media, advertising strongly preferred 
- Experience selling into Marketing, Brand, PR teams strongly preferred 
- Fluency in sales tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Outreach strongly preferred
- Familiarity with and fondness for Morning Brew Inc and our portfolio of media properties strongly preferred

COMPENSATION $160,000 - $175,000 base DOE + commission *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below
