The Web team builds and operates NordLayer’s marketing website - a server‑side rendered Next.js application connected with a headless CMS. We partner closely with Marketing and Content teams to ship fast, accessible, and responsive experiences that tell our story and convert. Performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals are first‑class metrics for us and inform every decision we make.
We’re a driven, collaborative engineering group that values ownership, curiosity, and pragmatic excellence. We plan together, swarm on tough problems, and ship iteratively. You’ll have autonomy to own features end‑to‑end, with a supportive team for reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing. Senior engineers set technical direction and mentor others; mid‑level engineers grow quickly through scoped ownership, clear feedback loops, and opportunities to lead projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Build, optimize, and maintain Next.js pages and shared components for campaigns, product launches, and content experiences;
- Model and integrate content with our headless CMS, enabling non‑technical authors to move fast;
- Raise the bar on performance and Core Web Vitals via profiling, code splitting, caching, and CDN/edge strategies;
- Improve accessibility, SEO foundations, analytics instrumentation, and internationalization;
- Partner with Design, Brand, SEO, and Marketing to experiment, A/B test, and iterate based on data;
- Contribute to our design system and engineering standards; occasionally extend backend APIs, edge functions, or CMS webhooks when needed;
Core Requirements
- +3 years of experience with modern React and TypeScript; +1 year of experience with SSR/ISR in Next.js; experience with Redis and enterprise-level scaling would be a plus;
- A performance mindset with hands‑on wins across Core Web Vitals metrics; familiarity with CSS architectures (like BEM, Atomic Design);
- Familiarity with headless CMSs and content modeling (e.g., Contentful, Storyblock, Strapi) and marketing site essentials (metadata, sitemaps, schema.org);
- Solid testing and CI/CD practices (e.g., Jest, Playwright, GitLab Pipelines) and experience with platforms like Docker;
- Clear communication with non‑engineering stakeholders and a collaborative approach;
- Senior level: ability to lead initiatives, mentor, and shape architecture;
- Mid level: strong fundamentals, ownership of scoped projects, and eagerness to learn;

Salary Range
- Gross salary 3200 - 7000 EUR/Month.
