About the Role:
The IT Professional will support and oversee the day-to-day technology needs of our Montevideo location and assist with organizational needs, including system setup, troubleshooting, and user support. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational IT knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to expand their expertise in enterprise systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to contractors/employees (hardware, software, network, and account issues)
- Configure and maintain local network connectivity (wired and wifi) to ensure reliable internet access; diagnose and resolve connectivity issues (routers/APs/switches/VPN), monitor Wi-Fi performance and security, and coordinate with ISPs for outages
- Assist with new hire setups, including device provisioning, account creation, and access management.
- Manage user access and security permissions in alignment with compliance policies.
- Ensure smooth transitions, including deactivating accounts, reclaiming devices, and maintaining data security.
- Provide advanced support, ensuring issues are resolved and analyzed for root cause and long-term remediation.
- Support and maintain company hardware and software assets
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools
- Analyze user requirements and recommend system configurations to improve efficiency
- Document processes, common issues, and solutions to improve team knowledge base
- Participate in IT projects related to system upgrades, security, and integrations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of professional IT experience (helpdesk experience a plus)
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common productivity platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud tools
- Strong customer service and English communication skills
- Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
