Lindblad Expeditions is a true pioneer in Expedition Travel. Position Summary
A full service in-house agency that provides design, editorial, photographic and video content, as well as developing and maintaining the visual identity of the brand. Reporting to the Director of Design, the Designer helps to bring the Lindblad Expeditions brand vision to life through direct mail brochures, email, print and digital advertising, shipboard materials, and digital assets related to the website. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop concepts, graphics and layouts for brochures, advertising, websites and various other marketing-related touch points. 
    • Collaborate with Marketing Partner, Design Director and Copywriter to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s). 
    • Work closely with the Creative Operations Manager to schedule and monitor all projects. 
    • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, photography, and copy, including font style and size 
    • Prepare rough drafts of material consistently reflecting strong understanding of project briefs
    • Review final layouts and suggest improvements where needed 
    • Liaise with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality 
    • Photography research and communicating with Photo Editor to acquire photography based on criteria of various projects 

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2-4 years graphic design experience in an agency or in-house studio setting is required. 
    • Must possess a thorough understanding of typography, photography, printing and digital asset production 
    • Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator) 
    • Comprehensive photo-retouching and image development skills 
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
    • Effectively handle multiple assignments at one time. 
    • Effectively check and approve work on press 
    • An interest in travel, geography and cultural trends is beneficial 
    • A BA is communication design, or visual arts 
    • Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills.
    • Sound decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
    • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.
    • Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
Eligible for up to a 5% annual bonus
